Dr. Wallena Gould Will Deliver DNPs of Color 2022 Virtual Commencement Speech

ALEXANDRIA, VA (May 16, 2022) – DNPs of Color will be recognizing the class of 2022 graduates at its Virtual Commencement on Saturday June 18, 2022 at 11am EST.

It is with great pleasure that the DNPs of Color community will welcome Wallena Gould, EdD, CRNA, FAANA, FAAN to deliver the 2022 Commencement address. Dr. Gould is the founder of the non-profit organization, Diversity in Nurse Anesthesia Mentorship Program and former Chief Nurse Anesthetist. Dr. Gould was the recipient of the 2019 AANA Agatha Hodgins Award for Outstanding Accomplishment. In August 2021, Dr. Gould was inducted in the inaugural cohort as a Fellow of the American Association of Nurse Anesthesiology. Presently, she serves as the Vice Chair of the American Academy of Nursing Diversity & Inclusivity Committee and Co-Chair for the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists for the Education and Innovation Committee. Dr. Gould is a Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of South Florida College of Nursing.
