Alexandria, VA, June 10, 2024 – DNPs of Color is thrilled to announce a new partnership with The Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM) to increase the number of annual scholarships aimed at expanding access to functional medicine training for clinicians who are making a significant impact in their communities. This initiative underscores our shared commitment to enhancing healthcare delivery to medically underserved populations.

The Functional Medicine for All Scholarship was created in 2021 by IFM and is designed for clinicians around the globe who are beginning their certification journey and currently working with medically underserved communities. This scholarship covers the full cost of the Applying Functional Medicine in Clinical Practice (AFMCP) course. Additionally, recipients will have the opportunity to participate in virtual facilitated sessions with experienced functional medicine professionals to deepen their understanding and application of the program’s learnings.

DNPs of Color is a leading organization that supports Doctor of Nursing Practice students and graduates, promoting diversity within the nursing profession and advocating for equitable healthcare. This partnership with IFM aligns with their mission to ensure the widespread adoption of functional medicine and their efforts to advance health equity and access to functional medicine practice and care.
