Dr. Bimbola Akintade

Bimbola Akintade PhD, MBA, MHA, CCRN, ACNP-BC, NEA-BC, FAANP is an Associate Professor and Associate Dean of the Master’s Specialties at the University of Maryland School of Nursing. Dr. Akintade currently practices as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner at the University of Maryland Capital Region Health Center in the Trauma/Surgical Intensive Care Unit and in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit at the University of Maryland Medical Center.
A well rounded clinician with leadership experience in a variety of settings including universities and tertiary care hospitals. Strong management and business skills grounded in evidence-based practice, clinical outcomes and a service-oriented philosophy.
The impact of his work as a leader, an expert clinician and outstanding educator is evident in his various peer reviewed publications, authored book chapters as well as invited and selected presentations. His contributions to the nursing profession have been recognized through several professional awards and acknowledgements.
