Janice Linton, DNP, APRN, ANP-BC, CCRN, ACHPN, is a doctorally prepared adult nurse practitioner and APRN professor with over two decades of nursing experience spanning direct care, leadership, and advanced practice. Board-certified as an Advanced Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse, Dr. Linton served on an inpatient consultative palliative care team, where she provided holistic, person-centered care to patients and families navigating serious illness, and she contributed to programmatic development at the hospital’s regional and system level. A national voice in the advancement of palliative care, Dr. Linton has lobbied in Washington, D.C. for the Palliative Care and Hospice Education and Training Act. Her scholarly contributions include peer-reviewed publications, textbook chapters, and presentations at national and international conferences. She has also been featured on podcasts, sharing insights on the clinical, ethical, and human dimensions of palliative care. Dr. Linton continues to shape the future of palliative care by educating entry-level nurses through structured residency programs and guiding mid-career professionals through immersive palliative care training experiences.
